History

In 1987, the MAGNUM Automatisierungstechnik GmbH was founded by Dr. Hubert Mäncher as a spin-off of the Technical University Darmstadt. The company started with two engineers and activities at that time focused on control engineering and computer sciences. In the following years, the company grew up to 25 employees and became a supplier of testing technology, quality control, and engineering services in the fields of medical technology, automobile industry, and energy. Ever since its transition to a stock company and its renaming into MAGNUM Pirex AG in 2009, the company's portfolio has taken a more integrated approach in the fields of renewable energies and environmental protection. From 2015, the development and production of test systems in the field of fuel cell technology was further developed and expanded. Further on, MAGNUM LEO-Pipe GmbH was established in order to cover the field of pipeline monitoring.

Today, MAGNUM is a strong partner for energy and environmental technologies employing highly qualified and motivated scientists, engineers, and technicians. Our core expertise lies within testing technology, quality control, system integration, and engineering in the fields of fuel cells and e-mobility.
